How heavy is a jacuzzi?
The current spa weigh between 300 kg and 500 kg and contain between 1000 l and 2400 l of water. Our biggest model comes on approx. 900 kg with up to 4,500 l of water. The Swim Spa weighs more than 1,500 kg with a water volume of 12,000 l.
Does my floor resist this burden?
Most modern constructions can carry an average spa without problems, because the weight of the spa is distributed to a big base. Before an order our team will clarify with you whether the desired location for static reasons is possible.
What do I need as preparation for a jacuzzi?
With a planned inside pool is to be considered that the necessary wall openings must be big enough for the transport to the selected location. Please, consider the dimensions of the pools! Concerning the load-carrying capacity of the ground construction we will weigh up with you personally the possibilities.
Whether inside or outside: A connection for the power (according to model 220 volt or 220 volt and 380 volts) and the possibility to fill the pools uncomplicated with water (e.g., filling by tube) would have to be clarified in the approach and be arranged in case of need.
Where can I place the jacuzzi?
The jacuzzis are designed for the installation outside. Of course you can put up the jacuzzi also in the house, on the terrace or in the conservatory.
On which subsurface can I place the hot tub?
Actually, you only need a level even and dry surface. It should be fastened, e.g. concrete foundation, paving stone, flagstones, wooden floor etc.

The jacuzzi should be put up by no means on lawn or normal ground. This subsoil stores too much water.
Can I bury a jacuzzi?
No! Since, on the one hand, the pumps wouldn´t get air and would overheat. On the other hand the carrier construction of the jacuzzi would rot. Furthermore you would have no more access to the pumps, technology etc.
Can I house or build round a jacuzzi?
Yes, this is possible and is also made with pleasure. Nevertheless, some things are to be followed: The water expiry and the access to the inner life must be guaranteed. Besides loudspeakers and/ or lights are fitted outside with some models.
How are the hot tubs heated?
All Platinum Spa® jacuzzis are connected to your grid and are heated electrically. A certified electrician connects the spa during the installation to your grid.
Is it expensive to run the spa?
Not at all, actually the costs are much lower than, e.g. to run a sauna. Platinum Spa® jacuzzis are power-saving and laid out energy-efficiently. On average the everyday energy costs are as high as with the costs which result with the preparation of approx. 2 cups of coffee (divergences depend on the frequency of the use and the choosen water temperature).

To adjust the costs whith as little as possible expenditure for you, all Platinum Spas® are equipped with 3 options:

Standard: You put the desired temperature, then this is held continuous.
Economical : The jacuzzi is only warmed up if the pumps operate.
Doze: The water temperature is decreased about 11 degrees compared with the opposed desirable temperature. If you like to get, e.g. in the evening, in your Platinum Spa®, you should change in the morning back to the on standard option.

Nevertheless, the most important measure for a cost-minimum run is an intact and accurately incumbent cover!
Can I use the jacuzzi all-the-year?
Yes, enjoy your jacuzzi all-the-year. Besides, the care and intactness of the cover is importantly. It protects the jacuzzi against pollution and stores the warmth of the water also in the winter-time. The energy costs are thereby held low. Just in the cold season with snow and coldness it is a marvellous feeling to lay under a starry sky in warm water.
How do I keep clean my spa?
Platinum Spa® jacuzzis need very little maintenance effort , because they are completely equipped with antimicrobial Microban® protection. Besides the Balboa ozone generator, on the technically newest state, and the installed filter arrangements provides a clean, hygienic water. Nevertheless, it must be added chlore in a regular rhythm according to the intensity of use. In addition, the water should be changed all 4-6 months.

Additional info: Microban® stops the growth of micro-organisms by means of an electro-chemical reaction. It is trained directly in the molecular structure of the tub plastic and can neither be washed, be rubbed off, nor be used up.
What is important before bathing?
Please, take always a shower before using the jacuzzi. Avoid before the use of the hot tub to apply suncream or skin cream. Disinfect the spa regularly with cleaning product. Pay attention to the pH-value.
How often should I change the water of my jacuzzi?
The water should be changed 3 to 4 times yearly. With intensive use, e.g., in hotels, more often.
How does calcification occur on the surfaces and how do I avoid this?
Minerals as for example calcium are always in water. By slopping over and vaporisation of the water in the jacuzzi the quantity of water decreases. With refilling of water the mineral amount increases in the water. These minerals fall out sometime and form a whitish layer on the surface and at the water line.
To avoid these deposits which can also affect the pumps and the heating, you can add special additives into the water.
Who does carry over the water care when we are not there?
The ozone generator generally satisfy to keep clean the water during your absence.
How often must the jacuzzi filters be cleaned?
You should clean the filters all 4 weeks thoroughly and then let them dry up to 4 weeks. In this time, please, use replacement filters.
The dry is very important to make sure that no bacteria or germs survive.
With strong load of the jacuzzi you should clean the filters also in shorter time lags.
How often must the pH-value be measured?
Very often and regularly, at least all 2 weeks, better weekly.
What do I do when I do not use the jacuzzi longer time?
Switching off the heating only makes sense if an absence/ disuse of several weeks is foreseeable. The energy expenditure to heat the jacuzzi again up to the operating temperature would cost more than to hold the temperature.

Tip: If a longer non-using is early foreseeable, one of the regular water changes should fall on this time period. For the duration of the absence the jacuzzi can remain empty and be switched off.
What is the light therapy?
Light influences the psyche of human beings. The interplay of multi colour lights can and should release a impulse which affects positively the well-being.
What is an aromatic therapy?
An aromatic therapy is the treatment of sensitivities disturbances and illnesses with ethereal oils. Thereby odoriferous substances are mixed with the heated water by air supply. The air supply prevents the pollution of the water by the oils.
Can I connect the jacuzzi to a normal outlet?
A firm connection with an own fuse as well as an own residual-current device are prescription and guarantee at last your security! Besides, some models need 380 volt and therefore a connection with a normal outlet is not enough for a flawless run.
How long does my spa last for?
Our spas are designed for 15 to 20 years. Whereas care, use and handling with the jacuzzi are of essential meaning for the durability.
In which temperature range can the jacuzzi be run?
The infinitely variable regulation of the water temperature applies about an area of 15°C to 40°C.

If you do not want to use your jacuzzi for a longer period, you put the water temperature on 15 °C. At this temperature it uses almost no energy. Never switch only off the electricity. On the one hand, the filtering of the water is switched off and the water collapse. On the other hand, with outside temperatures under 0°C exists the danger of freezing of the water. This would entail burst conduits.

Temperatures over 40°C are also not possible. Should the water warm itself up more than 40°C, the jacuzzi denotes disturbance. Then they must dump water and add cold water.
How often can the jacuzzi be used?
You can use your jacuzzi daily. Even several times daily.
